It's strange how everything in civilization seems so mediocre to me since I left the jungle of New-Guinea - the art, journalism, philosophy,

cinema and even music. I suspected the opposite - a sudden wonderment for matters of culture, arts and letters, civilized exchange and great achievements. But I still find them every time bland, boring, desperately disappointing and artificial. 

Perhaps it is their distance from the true nature of man and his natural environmentthat makes them to me so dull and meaningless.
